Tabanan, July 16, 2026 – In an effort to improve early detection and prevention of vision disorders in the community, Bali Mandara Eye Hospital conducted an eye health screening at the Selemadeg Community Health Center in Tabanan Regency on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. WITA until completion.

This initiative is part of Bali Mandara Eye Hospital’s commitment to expanding access to eye care services for the community through collaboration with primary health care facilities. The screenings conducted at community health centers are expected to help identify cases of eye disorders at an early stage so that treatment can be provided more quickly and effectively. This commitment is also in line with the program to strengthen eye care services implemented by Bali Mandara Eye Hospital.

During this event, community members received three types of screening services, namely:

  • Cataract Screening, to detect clouding of the eye’s lens, which is one of the leading causes of treatable blindness.
  • Diabetic Retinopathy Screening, as a means of early detection of diabetes complications that can damage the retina and threaten vision.
  • Glaucoma Screening: to assess the risk of optic nerve damage caused by increased intraocular pressure, which often develops without symptoms in its early stages.

Through this screening program, the public is expected to gain a better understanding of the importance of regular eye exams, especially for the elderly, people with diabetes, and individuals with risk factors for vision problems.

Bali Mandara Eye Hospital expressed its appreciation to the entire staff of the Selemadeg Community Health Center for their cooperation and support in carrying out this activity. Effective collaboration between the hospital and the community health center is a crucial step toward providing eye care services that are more accessible, of high quality, and tailored to the community’s needs.

Through this event, Bali Mandara Eye Hospital hopes that more people will benefit from early detection of eye diseases, thereby helping to continuously improve their quality of life and productivity.
