Bali Mandara Eye Hospital once again demonstrated its commitment to improving service quality by holding a training session on modern refractive surgery, ReLEx SMILE (Small Incision Lenticule Extraction), for eye specialists from February 10 to 12, 2026.

This training was attended by a number of ophthalmologists who wanted to deepen their expertise in the latest refractive surgery techniques. ReLEx SMILE is a procedure for correcting refractive errors such as myopia and astigmatism using minimally invasive laser technology, which is known for its faster recovery time and high patient comfort.

The training lasted for three days and included theory sessions, case discussions, observations, and hands-on practice with guidance from experienced instructors. Participants received in-depth explanations on patient selection, surgical techniques, complication management, and procedural safety standards.

Through this ReLEx SMILE training, Bali Mandara Eye Hospital hopes to continue to be a center for service and scientific development in the field of eye health, while supporting the improvement of ophthalmology service standards in Indonesia.
