The Ministry of Health, together with the UGM Team, the FHF Team, and the Bali Provincial Health Office, conducted a field visit as part of a pilot program for diabetic retinopathy screening at Bali Mandara Eye Hospital. This activity aimed to assess the readiness of healthcare facilities, the availability of human resources, and to identify the need for supporting facilities and infrastructure. Additionally, this visit served as the first step in developing referral pathways for the implementation of screening and management of Diabetic Retinopathy. The visit was welcomed by the Director of Bali Mandara Eye Hospital, who also presented the Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Program currently being implemented at the hospital.
