Karangasem – Bali Mandara Eye Hospital has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving access to eye care services for the community through free eye exams, the distribution of reading glasses, and free cataract surgeries held at the Karangasem II Community Health Center in Seraya Timur Village.

This initiative is part of Bali Mandara Eye Hospital’s efforts to make eye care services more accessible to the community, particularly for residents who need screenings and treatment for vision problems.

During this event, community members had the opportunity to receive free eye exams. The exams were conducted to assess their vision and detect various eye conditions that require further treatment.

In addition to eye exams, Bali Mandara Eye Hospital also distributes reading glasses to those in need. It is hoped that these reading glasses will help improve comfort and vision quality in carrying out daily activities, especially for people with near-sightedness.

For patients whose examination results indicate they have cataracts and who meet the requirements for surgery, a screening and preparation process is conducted so they can participate in the Free Cataract Surgery Program. This program is expected to help people regain better vision and improve their quality of life.

Cataracts remain one of the leading causes of vision impairment that can be treated through surgery. Therefore, early detection and access to eye care services are crucial steps in preventing more serious vision impairment.

Through this community outreach initiative, Bali Mandara Eye Hospital hopes that more people will gain access to quality eye care services. The collaboration with the Karangasem II Community Health Center is also a key part of the joint effort to raise public awareness about the importance of regular eye exams and proper treatment.

Bali Mandara Eye Hospital remains committed to providing the best possible care and playing an active role in various social and community service activities, with the goal of fostering a community with better eye health and a higher quality of life.
