Overview
The health of the sense of vision is one of the most important elements in determining the quality of human resources in order to realize a smart, productive Indonesian human being who is able to play a role in development.
In Bali Province itself, the Bali Province Ophthalmology Program was followed up with the formation of the Bali Province Regional Eye Committee in accordance with the Decree of the Governor of Bali Number 149/03-B / HK / 2020 dated January 21, 2020, where Bali Mandara Eye Hospital plays a role in Field II, namely in the Service Working Group by carrying out Community Ophthalmology service activities in collaboration with the Bali Branch of Perdami, IK MATA FK UNUD Study Program, NGOs and related agencies.
Aims and Objectives:
- Purpose of Activity:
Bringing access to eye health services closer to communities across Bali.
- Activity Objective
- Reducing blindness caused by cataracts through screening and cataract surgeries
- Conduct early detection of visual impairment in the form of retinal abnormalities
- Providing eye health services and reading glasses for the community
- Conduct early detection of eye health problems for school children.
- Conduct eye health education and counseling to the community.
- Knowing the picture of public health disorders in the community for further program planning.

- Diabetic Retinopathy Screening
- Social Service for Eye Health Services
- Cataract Screening
- Screening for Refractive Error in School Children
- Eye health counseling to senior citizens in the community
